Taking the Tarifa Tangier Ferry Crossing

The Tarifa Tangier ferry connects the tip of Spain with Morocco’s northernmost city and is a popular route taking around an hour to make the crossing. There are two ferry companies operating regular scheduled ferry crossings to and from Tangier. The FRS service (Ferrys Rapidos del Sur) and Inter Shipping service runs every few hours throughout the day.

When you arrive in Tangier

There can be long queues for custom and passport control when disembarking at Tangier port website. You can get your passport stamped on board during the crossing to speed things up. Once through customs into the ferry terminal building there are money exchange services, shops.

Outside the Port

Once you get outside there will be a groups of unofficial guides at the entrance. They will offer you their services, however do not feel obliged to take them. Make sure you have planned your trip so you know where your will be going.
