Cosmopolitan Casablanca

Casablanca is Morocco’s largest and most modern city, and is the economic centre of the country. While generally not regarded as a main tourist destination there is a rich heritage and plenty of attractions to visit. The coastal city has beaches, nightclubs, fabulous architecture and rich history.

Take a walk down Mohammed V Boulevard and take in the architecture from the 1920s and 1940s.

King Hassan II Mosque

Casablanca is home to The King Hassan II Mosque, designed by the French architect Michel Pinseau, at an estimated cost of $800 million, is the largest in Morocco and the third largest in the world and now an iconic symbol of the city.

Go Shopping in the City

Visit the bustling Medina for a more traditional shopping experience or for a more modern experience, the Morocco Mall, the largest shopping centre in Africa with 200 000m² of floor space. The mall features a massive 1,000,000 litre aquarium that contains over 40 different species of fish.

When visiting Casablanca take a visit to a public hammam, there are many dotted around most districts
Fans of the classic movie ‘Casablanca’ can dine out at Rick’s Café restaurant, bar and café, a recreation of the bar made famous by Humphrey Bogart and Ingrid Bergman.
