Queensway has a large mixture of middle eastern influences, including a sizable Moroccan community. There are a high number of travel agents, bookshops supermakets catering to the cultural mix.

Goldborne Road, just off Portobello road, is home to a large Moroccan community. There are shops selling Moroccan products, cookware, and clothing. The shops carry names reminiscent of Morocco, including, Casablanca Halal Meat Butchers, Taza Snack, Bab Marrakech, L'Etoile de Sousse Patisserie. For those that like to cook, you will find all the cooking equipment for making your tagine at home. During the summer months, it is the perfect time to sit out side one of the restaurants, have a tagine and mint tea, while taking in the market atmosphere.

The first generation of Moroccan immigrants arrived in the 1960's, and retained a relatively traditional lifestyle, however todays British Moroccan community is influenced by a mix of cultures.
